Adding Fonts

Follow the steps on this page to add your own fonts to projects in Spark AR Studio.

Fonts should be TrueType or OpenType.

Add a text object

Start by adding either a 2D or 3D text object to your scene.

Add the custom font capability

You'll need to add the custom font capability to your project:

  1. Go to Project in the menu bar, select Edit Properties and then Capabilities.
  2. Click +.
  3. Type 'Custom Font' into the search bar.

When you've found it, click Insert.

Import your font

To import your font:

  1. Go to the Assets Panel.
  2. Click Add Assets.
  3. Choose your font file from your computer.

You font will now be listed in the Assets Panel.

Add text with the custom font to your effect

To add the text to your effect:

  1. Select the text object in the Scene Panel.
  2. In the Inspector, click the dropdown next to Font.
  3. Select your custom font from the menu.
  4. Type the text you want to show in the Text box.
