Different Scales for position and scale in SparkAR (scripting)?

I implemented a bounding-box collision detection via scripting and for some reason I need to scale down width/height of the transform-attribute by factor 10 to compare the dimensions of two objects with their center-distance (using “transform.scaleX” or “transform.scale.x” for scale and “transform.x” for position).

Could someone please explain the measures of points and scale of the transform signal? Is it something like points = centimeters and dimensions = millimeters?
