We’re excited to kick off a new competition today called Spark Playtime. For this competition, we’re inviting all eligible* creators to make group effects which are fun, interactive AR experiences that people can share on Messenger or Instagram video calls. You can create group effects that help people collaborate and compete, or effects that are just for fun.

Think of Spark Playtime as an opportunity to explore a whole new category of AR effects that entertain and engage groups. And for this latest competition, there is over $500,000 USD in cash prizes available.

BUILD

Create your group effect

This is the fun part! You can create as many group effects as you like using the multipeer capability. Be sure to check out all of the tutorials and documentation available. Additionally, consider signing up for one of our free competition workshops to learn more about creating group effects.

SUBMIT

Publish to start competing

When you submit your effect to be published, simply enable Competitions entry. And that’s it, you’re in! Learn more about submitting and managing your effects on Spark AR Hub.

The Spark Playtime competition starts today, March 29, 2022 and ends on April 18, 2022 at 23:59:59 p.m. pacific time.

*Given that our services are currently blocked in Russia, and because of difficulties in making financial transactions in the country at this time, creators in Russia will be unable to participate in this competition.
