Use the Runtime patch to track the number of seconds an effect is running. You can use this patch with a Logic patch to make something happen after an effect has been running for a specific length of time.
The Runtime patch is the only Time patch available in the Patch Editor.
Output the signal to the next patch.
In the example below, we see an object appear when the effect has been running for one-and-a-half seconds.
To make the object appear after one-and-a-half seconds, we used the following graph:
To do this:
We connected the Runtime patch to the top input on the Greater or Equal patch.
We set the bottom input on the Runtime patch to 1.5 seconds.
The top input on the Greater or Equal patch displays the number of seconds the effect is running for.
When the effect runs for one-and-a-half seconds, a signal is outputted from the Greater or Equal patch to the Visible input on the object consumer patch.
A check appears to the right of Visible and the object appears on the user’s face.
