Gradient Patch

Gradient Patch

Use the Gradient patch to create a grayscale gradient. Use the Gradient patch with a Mix patch to create a color gradient. This is useful for creating backgrounds and adding colored filters to scenes.

If you want to mix more than two colors, use the Gradient patch with a Gradient Step patch for each additional color.

To change the shape of the color gradient, click the dropdown and select an option. The following options are available:

  • Horizontal

  • Vertical

  • Circular

  • If you want to mix two colors for a color gradient, connect this output to the Alpha input on the Mix patch.

  • If you want to mix more than two colors, connect this output to the Gradient input on the Gradient Step patch.

Example

In the example below, two blue and red color values are mixed in a color gradient.
