Mouth Open Patch

Use the Mouth Open patch to make something happen in an effect while the user's mouth is open.

Input

NameDescription

Face

To track a user's face, connect the face tracker.

Outputs

NameDescription

Mouth Open

A boolean signal is sent when an open mouth is detected.

By default, the user's mouth must be open by roughly a quarter or more to trigger a boolean signal.

Mouth Openness

You can define exactly how open the user's mouth must be to trigger a boolean signal.

For example, if you want to trigger a boolean signal when the user's mouth is open halfway or more, connect a Greater Than patch set to 0.5 out of 1.

Example

In the example below, an object appears when the user's mouth opens and disappears when the user's mouth closes.

To do this, we connected the Mouth Open output on the Mouth Open patch to the Visible input on the object consumer patch.
