You can view insights to track engagement with your effects in the Instagram camera.
Insights are available from October 25, 2018 onward.
You'll need to wait a few hours after an effect goes live to start seeing insights for it.
Combined insights for all effects belonging to an owner, as well as insights for individual location-targeted effects, won't become visible until they reach a certain count.
To see insights for individual effects you've published to Instagram:
To see insights for all effects belonging to a particular owner (Facebook profile or Page):
You'll see 3 metrics - Impressions, Captures and Shares.
The insights don't currently include impressions or shares for effects used in live videos or direct messages.
Impressions are the number of times an effect has been displayed on screen.
This includes when an effect is shown while someone is trying it out in the Instagram camera, and when the effect is displayed in a shared story on Instagram.
Impressions are also broken down by channel. You can see the number of times an effect was shown:
In the Instagram camera - Camera impressions.
In Instagram stories - Story impressions.
The number of times someone captured a photo or video that featured your effect in the Instagram camera.
The number of times someone took and shared a photo or video that featured your effect to a story on Instagram.
